Description: The proposed rehabilitation includes complete abrasive blasting and application of a new epoxy coating system to the interior of the tank. The exterior of the tank will be washed and prepared prior to application of an epoxy/urethane overcoat system. The project also includes several recommended modifications to the exterior access components, including improvements to the ground-to roof access, the landing at the roof-to-shell interface, and the roof handrail.

The Project includes the following Work: Contract No. 1 - Construction of a new approx. 1,000,000-gallon composite elevated water storage tank and associated site improvements, including foundation and pedestal construction, piping, valves, telemetry, 6' high fence with gate, erosion and sediment control, and related appurtenances. The project also includes demolition and removal of the existing elevated water storage tank and associated facilities.
The work consists of rehabilitation and upgrade of the existing 3,000,000 gallon High Side Tank consisting of but not limited to: interior blasting and epoxy coating with mill scale removal as needed; tank disinfection; replacement of cathodic protection anode bags, upsizing of existing manway, replacement of vent mesh screening, and tank level indicator; installation of a fire hydrant, temporary pressure relief valve, and associated piping; and modification of pressure set-points at the Long Valley Booster Pump Station pressure regulating station.
Work includes but is not limited to, preparation of surfaces, abrasive blasting, providing modifications and repairs, and coating of all interior and exterior surfaces for (2) 500,000 gallon (nominal) steel ground storage tanks.
