Description: The Arizona Department of Gaming seeks a contractor to design, establish, and manage a problem-gambling peer support and recovery program. The program will provide non-clinical peer support to complement existing clinical treatment and organize recovery resources and services for people affected by problem gambling. Responsible Gaming and Problem Gambling (Request for proposal)
Seeking to establish a contract with one company that can provide services and support the State in meeting the responsible gaming and problem gambling objectives. Vermont signed Bill H127 in June of 2023 legalizing sports wagering in the state. The Department of Mental Health is charged under 31 V.S.A. § 1341a with establishing a Problem Gambling Program. Pursuant to subsection (a) The Department of Mental Health shall establish and administer the Problem Gambling Program to: (1) provide support to agencies, organizations, and persons that provide education, assistance, awareness, treatment, and recovery services to persons and families experiencing difficulty as a result of addictive or problematic gambling; (2) promote public awareness of and provide education concerning gambling addiction using online capabilities and other best practices; and (3) promote public awareness of assistance programs for gambling addiction using online capabilities and other best practices.

Services consist of a structured six-month mentorship program with at least six hours per week of in-person interaction, development of a Personalized Development Plan, required training (trauma-informed care and human trafficking identification), documentation, and monthly progress reporting. Psychologist Support-critical Incident Stress Debriefing and Peer To Peer Training - (Request for Proposal)
The Contractor will play a crucial role in supporting the well-being of all IRS-CI employees by providing comprehensive critical incident stress debriefing counseling. This includes conducting thorough stress assessments, offering effective stress management strategies, and delivering specialized stress management training. Additionally, the Contractor will facilitate debriefing sessions for IRS-CI employees after a critical incident, ensuring ongoing support and guidance. In the aftermath of critical or traumatic incidents, the Contractor will offer essential incident and trauma intervention counseling to Special Agents and personnel, providing the support needed to help them process and recover from these challenging experiences. To ensure timely assistance, it is preferred that responses be provided within 24 to 48 hours, fostering a prompt and effective recovery process. See attached file.
