MEP - Multi Building Residence Hall Addition & Renovation

Description: In general, the work consists of: renovations to provide building code, accessibility, life safety and building system infrastructure upgrades throughout the Kronshage, Jorns, and Humphrey student residences (11 buildings, approximately 182,300 SF building area). This project also creates new facility amenities for resident gathering gathering spaces, kitchenettes, study spaces, and restroom configuration improvements in select locations. New elevators in three of these buildings will increase the number of accessible resident rooms in Kronshage Hall significantly. Project work includes but is not limited to replacing the steam heating system with a new hot water system; providing air conditioning to resident rooms, common spaces, required technical spaces, and office spaces; mechanically ventilating resident rooms and common spaces; upgrading and augmenting the fire alarm and smoke detection systems to meet current code requirements; and installing a new fire suppression system.
