Collection Agency Services

Description: The Lansing Board of Water & Light is seeking a qualified collection agency to recover delinquent utility and limited non-utility accounts that have been inactive for at least 60 days. The contractor will receive weekly electronic account files, comply with applicable laws including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and earn a performance-based commission on amounts collected. The work includes implementation testing by April 16, 2027, go-live by May 1, 2027, and ongoing collection services; proposals will be evaluated on price, experience, reporting capabilities, and overall response.
