Florida Union Free School District Strategic Plan 2026-2028
This strategic plan outlines the Florida Union Free School District's initiative to improve student attendance, focusing on 'Our One Thing: Improving Student Attendance'. The plan aims to reduce the chronic absenteeism rate through a multi-tiered support system comprising 'Attendance For All' (schoolwide strategies), 'Early Intervention' for concerning attendance, and 'Individual Support' for students with significant absences. Key goals include achieving a 10% chronic absenteeism rate by 2026-2027, 8% by 2027-2028, and a long-term goal of 5% or lower. The intended outcomes include increased regular attendance, stronger family partnerships, improved student connection to school, and better academic performance.
