Office of Hawaiian Affairs Board of Trustees Special Meeting
The board discussed a formal complaint regarding alleged code of conduct violations by certain trustees. The primary focus of the meeting was to determine, with the assistance of legal counsel, whether the adjudication of this complaint could be conducted in an executive session or if it required a public forum in compliance with the Sunshine Law. Legal counsel advised that the matter must be handled in public. Consequently, the board deliberated on the procedure for reading the complaint into the record and discussed the implications of making the process public.
