Wayne RESA Board of Education Regular Meeting
The Board approved various personnel actions, including the appointment of new internal and external staff, and authorized leaves and returns. Financial approvals included purchases for maintenance and support services, instructional materials, and program equipment for Act 18 classrooms. Furthermore, the Board authorized payments for grant activities, deferred Section 107 allocations, and curriculum materials. Contracts and agreements were approved for property maintenance, Early On activities, data analysis services, and vocational rehabilitation. Several amendments to previous board recommendations concerning grant funding and programs were authorized, and new grant funding was accepted. The Superintendent provided an update on the start of the school year, student assessment results, the opening of the Early Childhood Center, revisions to the ISD Plan, the Instructional Impact Collaborative, Manufacturing Day, and the Read to the Final Four initiative.
