Lake Charles Historic Preservation Commission Minutes
The commission reviewed an appeal regarding a denied minor conditional use permit for a short-term rental at 731 Kirby Lane. Staff had denied the application because the property was located within 1,000 feet of an existing permitted short-term rental, which conflicts with city zoning ordinances. The board heard testimony from the applicant's representative addressing parking and maintenance plans, as well as comments from nearby residents regarding traffic and neighborhood impacts. Ultimately, the commission voted to deny the appeal.
