The ordinance addresses amendments to the Comprehensive Plan Fee Schedule, requiring prelocation inspections for certain mobile homes, providing for future amendments of the fee schedule by resolution, adopting the Florida Building Code, and ensuring severability. It also includes fee schedules for the Planning and Building Departments, covering land use amendments, development orders, site plan reviews, conditional use permits, comprehensive plan amendments, plat approvals, subdivision determinations, major development reviews, road abandonments, variance requests, and temporary power permits. Additionally, it outlines building department fees for moving structures, demolitions, mobile homes, inspections, modular homes, swimming pools, plan reviews, and various residential and commercial services.
The meeting addressed a situation in the Pine Island Subdivision regarding multiple mobile homes on one property, leading to a decision to file injunctions against those violating the County's Land Development Code. The board also dealt with the issue of signing building permits during the Building Inspector's absence, resulting in the authorization of a Hold Harmless Agreement and Interlocal Agreement with Gulf County and the appointment of their Building Official as Interim Building Official. Finally, the need to address zoning issues was noted.
The Calhoun County Board of County Commissioners meeting covered several key items. The board elected new officers, approved bids for the State Housing Initiative Program (SHIP) projects, and approved Resolution 2019-41, addressing budget amendments due to unanticipated revenue. A contract was awarded for the Bears Head Road project, and a change order for the same project was approved. A new employee was hired for the Grants Support position. Discussion took place regarding a private road being deeded to the county, signage replacement, and garbage pickup services. The board also discussed the Neal Landing boat ramp repairs and plans for future meetings.
